Lake Mary is a small city with a big office footprint. It had fewer than 17,000 residents at the 2020 census, yet it has become one of the region's employment centers, with offices lining the I-4 corridor and Heathrow next door. The companies here, and the smaller firms around them, usually have the kind of problem automation is good at: several systems, several teams, and data that has to agree across all of them.
Doing business in Lake Mary
Lake Mary grew from a citrus settlement into a suburban employment center in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when office, retail and industrial space went up alongside new neighborhoods. Much of that corporate development is concentrated along Interstate 4. AAA runs major operations in the area, and Dixon Ticonderoga is headquartered in Lake Mary.
The city has a SunRail station near Lake Mary Boulevard, Seminole State College's Sanford/Lake Mary campus sits just east of the city, and Orlando Health opened its Lake Mary Hospital here in 2025.
