AI Consulting

An AI consultant.
Who also writes the code.

Ashley Voltoline has spent 20+ years building software for businesses and 13 years inside their CRMs. Get Me Automated tells you where AI will pay off in your business, where plain automation will do the same job for less, and where to leave it alone. Then, if you want, builds it. Based in Winter Springs, serving Orlando, Central Florida and clients across the US.

What AI consulting covers

A decision on every idea, with a number next to it.

Most businesses do not have an AI problem. They have a list of twenty ideas, three vendor pitches, and no way to tell which ones are worth the money. The roadmap sorts that list.

AI readiness assessment

Where your data lives, how clean it is, which workflows are documented and which live in one person’s head. AI is only as useful as what it can reach.

Use cases ranked by payoff

Every idea on the list scored on hours saved, revenue touched, risk if it is wrong, and effort to build. Most businesses end up with two or three worth doing this year.

AI or just automation

A lot of “AI projects” are rules-based automation wearing a costume. We tell you which is which, because the plain version is cheaper and does not hallucinate.

Build, buy or skip

For each use case: an off-the-shelf tool, a custom build you own, or leave it alone. With the real numbers on each option, including what the subscription costs by year three.

Tool and model selection

Claude, GPT, Gemini or an open model, chosen per workload for accuracy, cost and data sensitivity. We are not a reseller for any of them.

Data, security and guardrails

What data an AI tool may see, what it may write back, where the audit log lives, and how to keep client information out of a training set.

Team training and rollout

Working sessions with the people who will use the tools daily. Prompt libraries, written playbooks, and the handful of habits that make adoption stick.

Vendor and proposal review

Someone pitched you an AI platform. We read the proposal, check the claims, and tell you what it would take to get the same result without the lock-in.

Implementation, if you want it

The roadmap is yours to take anywhere. If you would rather the person who wrote it also build it, that is what the rest of this site is for.

Why it matters who you hire

Advice from someone who has to live with it.

Most AI consulting comes from people who have never had to maintain the thing they recommended. They have not been paged at 2 AM because a model update changed the output format, or watched a $500-a-month tool quietly stop syncing. Here the consultant is the engineer. Every recommendation is one she has built, run, and been responsible for when it broke.

Who this is for

Owners who want a straight answer before they spend.

You have been pitched

A vendor, an agency, or your nephew has a plan for AI in your business and you cannot tell if it is a good one. We read it and tell you.

Your team is already using it

People are pasting client data into free chatbots and nobody wrote down the rules. You need a policy, the right paid tools, and a training session, in that order.

You are drowning in a workflow

Intake, quotes, follow-up, scheduling, reporting. Something eats hours every week and you suspect a machine could do most of it. Usually you are right, and usually it is not the part you think.

You are preparing to sell

Buyers discount businesses that run on the owner. Documented, automated operations raise the number. Here is the data.

How it works

Roadmap first. Build only what earns it.

Nobody should quote an AI build without looking at the data it would run on. The roadmap is how you find out what is worth doing, and what it will actually cost, before you commit to anything bigger.

  1. 01

    Call

Fifteen minutes. What you are trying to fix, what you have already tried, and which tools you run today.

  2. 02

    Assess

We review the stack, the data, and the workflows with the people who actually do them. Read-only. Nothing changes yet.

  3. 03

    Roadmap

A written plan ranking each use case, with a build, buy or skip call on every one and a number next to it. Yours to keep whoever does the work.

  4. 04

    Advise or build

Month-to-month advisory as you roll it out, or hand the build to us. Either way, cancel anytime.

Common questions

What owners ask before they hire an AI consultant.

What does an AI consultant do for a small business?

An AI consultant looks at how a business actually runs, its data, tools and daily workflows, and identifies where AI would save real hours or produce revenue, where plain automation would do the same job for less, and where it should be left alone. The output is a ranked roadmap with a build, buy or skip decision and a cost on each item. At Get Me Automated the consultant is a senior engineer with 20+ years of development experience, so the roadmap is written by someone who has built the things on it.

How much does AI consulting cost?

The AI Roadmap is a one-time $2,500 engagement: a review of your stack, data and workflows, a ranked list of use cases, and a written plan you can take anywhere. Ongoing advisory is $997 a month for four hours of consulting and a monthly working session, and a fractional AI lead is $2,497 a month for ten hours of consulting and hands-on build time. Everything is month-to-month with no contract.

Do I need AI, or just automation?

Usually automation first. If a task follows rules you can write down, such as when a form is submitted, tag the contact and send the sequence, it is automation, and it should be built deterministically because it is cheaper and it does not make things up. AI earns its place when the input is messy human language, when judgment is required, or when the rules would take longer to write than the exceptions justify. Two questions that decide it.

Which AI tools do you recommend?

It depends on the workload, and we are not a reseller for any of them. For most business writing and analysis tasks we use Claude or ChatGPT. For connecting an AI assistant to your CRM or other systems we build on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which Anthropic, OpenAI and Google all support. For the automation underneath, Zapier or Make where they are reliable and custom code where they are not. Each recommendation in a roadmap names the tool, what it costs, and why it beat the alternatives.

Is my data safe with AI tools?

It can be, if it is set up deliberately. Paid business plans from Anthropic, OpenAI and Google do not train on your data by default; consumer plans may. Beyond that, the questions that matter are which systems the AI can read, which it can write to, whether every action is logged, and whether client or patient data ever leaves your control. Those answers are part of every roadmap, and when a business needs tight permissions we build a custom MCP server so the AI only sees what it is allowed to.

What is the difference between an AI consultant and an AI agency?

An agency sells a build. A consultant sells a decision. Most AI agencies are paid when you implement something, so every recommendation points toward implementing something. Here the roadmap is a standalone deliverable priced on its own, and the honest answer for some businesses is that a $30-a-month tool and one afternoon of setup is all they need. If you do want it built, the person who wrote the plan builds it, which is the part most consultants cannot offer.

Do you work with businesses in Orlando and Central Florida in person?

Yes. Get Me Automated is based in Winter Springs, Florida and works in person with businesses across Seminole, Orange, Volusia, Lake, Osceola and Brevard counties, including Orlando, Oviedo, Lake Mary, Sanford, Altamonte Springs and Winter Park. Most of the work also runs well remotely, and we have clients across the US and in New Zealand and Australia.

How long does an AI roadmap take?

Two to three weeks from kickoff for a typical small business, most of it waiting on calendar time with the people who run the workflows. The written roadmap is delivered before the two-hour review call, so you have time to read it and argue with it.

Can you train my team to use AI?

Yes. Training is included in the Fractional AI Lead tier and available as part of advisory. Sessions are run with the people who will use the tools every day, on their real work, and they leave with a prompt library and a written playbook rather than a slide deck.

Bring the idea, the pitch, or the workflow.
